Who Won PlusLiga? – The Final Answer

The Athletes Unlimited (AU) organisation recently started what they call a professional league in the United States. The significance of this league is that it does not have teams, but is structured so that an individual will be the ultimate. We can discuss and debate this but some other time and place. What interests me is who would win if we applied the scoring system to other leagues. If you click here you can see exactly how they score, but it is a combination of points won with individual actions which we discussed revealed in Part 1 and calculated here, plus points by team results and MVP awards. Because the structure of the league is very specific, we have to make different, I decided to award a straight 60 points per set won. AU give three MVPs per match. The Plus Liga website records one match MVP, and one best player for the losing team. I decided to give 60 points for MVP and 30 points for the second.

We found out yesterday that Karol Butryn from Rzeszów was the best individual scorer, but he was not the winner. Once team and MVP points are added, Kamil Semeniuk wins the individual title. Interestingly, Kędzierzyn players make out three of the top four places. Which begs several questions, none of which we need to discuss here. Here is the final Top 10.
