It has been reported in a couple of places (here and here for example), that the world’s best opposite, Ivan Miljkovic, is changing clubs. The reason? He asked for €700,000 per season, and the best offer he got from his previous club Olympiakos, who he led to consecutive Greek Championships, was €400,000. Currently he has an offer on the table for €550,000 from Fenerbahce in Turkey.
Bear in mind that all the numbers quoted are NET, so don’t include tax, accommodation, car and other assorted extras.
Bear in mind as well that not everyone is the best player in the world and that nearly everyone makes less money than that.
But still…
Some clues why Miljkovic might be worth at least €550,000.
